OLL Gets Artsy for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day Our Lady of Loretto (OLL) students spend time with their school families making carbon footprint posters!

Our Lady of Loretto (OLL) students are part of a school family. Each family consists of one student from each grade, and the eighth grade student acts as the leader of the family. OLL families meet to work on a seasonal and/or liturgical activity once a month.

This month’s family activity was all about Earth Day. In each family the eighth grade leader discussed individual carbon footprint rational and impact. They then led their group in the making of a poster with each student’s footprint traced on the poster. Inside the footprint students wrote or drew ideas of how to minimize their own personal carbon footprint.

It’s never too early to discuss the 3R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
