One EB Lane Of State Route 37 Reopens; WB Still Closed

NOVATO, CA – One lane of eastbound State Route 37 in Novato reopened Friday, following heavy rain, high tides and floods earlier this week.

The slow lane remains closed due to flooding, as do both westbound lanes of traffic, according to an advisory issued by the Marin Area Division of the California Highway Patrol.

The section of roadway between the US-101 transition ramps and Atherton Avenue was initially closed in both directions Wednesday morning due to the recent storms.

Officials warned drivers Friday to expect continued delays on SR-37 as there is only one lane open at this time.
