Our Lady of Loretto School's "Panther-a-thon" "Fun"draiser gets the School Community Moving and Grooving

This past weekend was one of the most eventful weekends of the Our Lady of Loretto 2015/2016 school year! On Friday, April 29th, over thirty students attended “Fun Under the Stars,” which was an auction item put on by the OLL Faculty. This year’s “Teacher Feature” auction item was all about giving parents a night out without children, and giving the children a fun night with their teachers! Teachers put on relay races, served a kid-friendly dinner, and watched a movie under the stars out on the turf! OLL faculty and students would like to thank Century Theaters Rowland Plaza for donating popcorn to enjoy during the movie.

After eating delicious popcorn Friday night, OLL students returned to the school the next day to run it off at the last fundraiser of the school year, the Panther-a-thon. With the help of the amazing OLL school community we were able to not only raise money for our school, but also provide a fun filled day for our students! Parent volunteers dedicated so much time to make this fundraiser a success, and both kids and parents had a blast. There were bouncy houses set up on the lawn, there was a DJ keeping the runners motivated and dancing, and there was food for everyone to enjoy. Vionic Shoes, a company specializing in life-changing orthotic footwear, sponsored the fundraiser, and teachers were lucky enough to wear Vionic for the event! We look forward to another fun filled Panther-a-thon next year!
