On Friday, September 21st, PeaceNovato was honored by the Marin Democratic Party with the Alex Forman Peace Award. A lifelong peace activist and environmentalist, Alex Forman was president of the Marin Municipal Water District Board. He died in 2009 after a battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He was 62. Past recipients of the Award include Norman Solomon and Lynn Woolsey.
“It REALLY is an honor to be honored in his name,” PeaceNovato Co-Chair Julie Manson said in accepting the award.
