Predicted Rain Triggers Partial Cancelation Of Novato’s Living Streets

NOVATO, CA — With some much-needed rain expected to fall on Marin, Novato has cancelled a pedestrian friendly event scheduled for Friday, city officials said.
Novato’s Living Streets is tentatively expected to resume Saturday and Sunday, but the city may announce additional cancellations, depending on the weather forecast.

The city holds its Living Streets program April through October on Grant Avenue between Machin and Reichert avenues. The program is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight.
The Living Streets Program aims to create a safe, pedestrian and bicycle-friendly shopping, dining, and recreation environment on Grant Avenue, city officials said in a statement.
