COVID-19 Virus Statement
Due to COVID-19 virus shelter-in-place orders, we highly encourage the public to watch the Regular Board meeting remotely on Novato Community Television (NCTV), Comcast Channel 30 or via NCTV’s YouTube Channel online.
Remote Public Comments
If you would like to make a Public Comment on any agendized, non-agenda item, or Public Hearing, please submit your comments by 5 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 to our Public Comments webpage at: https://nusd.org/school-board/public-comments-during-the-covid19-local-emergency/
Public Comments must indicate the type of comment (Closed Session, Consent Agenda Item, Agenda Item, Non-Agenda Item, or Public Hearing). The Board requests, but does not require, that you include your name.
Public Comments will be given to Trustees after the Board Meeting; however, if you would like your Public Comment read, please indicate this in your message and know that we are adhering to the three-minute time limit for all comments. Three minutes equals approximately 450 words.
Generally, pursuant to Board bylaw 9323, the Board will limit the total time for hearing public comments on each item to 20 minutes. However, in exceptional circumstances when necessary to ensure full opportunity for public input, the Board president may, with Board consent, adjust the amount of time and/or the time allotted for each comment.
If the Board receives more than one comment to be read aloud with the same content, one of those comments will be read and the number of such comments will be noted.
