CLEAR LAKE, CA --- A former Petaluma Fire Department battalion chief is missing and presumed drowned in Clear Lake.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports 59-year-old Mike Haberski was sailing by himself in the Konocti Bay area Tuesday evening when his 25-foot boat overturned.

Lake County Undersheriff Chris Macedo told the paper a witness sitting about 300 yards away heard someone yelling “help!”
Macedo said the observer on shore saw the sailboat and a man in the water without a life vest. A companion called 9-1-1.
