Starbucks Unicorn Frap Hits Stores Today For Limited Time

The Unicorn Frappuccino will be available only until April 23, according to the company.

SEATTLE, WA — A rare, "elusive" Starbucks drink will hit stores this week, but you'll only be able to get it until Sunday. The Unicorn Frappuccino drink is "magic," the company says, because it turns from purple to pink when you stir it. Starbucks fans will be able to buy the drink beginning on Wednesday, and it will be available until the end of the week while supplies last.

"The Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle. It is finished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping," the company said of the drink. "Like its mythical namesake, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème comes with a bit of magic, starting as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is sweet and fruity. But give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart."

Although Starbucks says the drink will be available Wednesday, it appears some coffee-lovers have already been able to find a unicorn.

Before Starbucks officially announced the drink, there was speculation on the internet that it was coming. A post on Reddit last week — possibly from a Starbucks employee — showed off a bag of pink powder, wondering what it might be for.
