CORTE MADERA, CA – The Environmental Forum of Marin, an environmental-advocacy nonprofit, is hosting a forum in Corte Madera on April 23 addressing the "Green New Deal," with guest Rep. Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) providing an update from Washington D.C. on the latest news concerning environmental protection.

"According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, humanity has just over a decade to get carbon emissions under control before catastrophic climate change becomes unavoidable," the organization said.

The upcoming event will focus on how the Green New Deal proposes to mitigate or avoid such effects.
