Petaluma Police Release Photo Of Grand Theft Suspect

A bicycle worth about $5,000 was stolen from the front of a local market, according to police.

PETALUMA, CA — An expensive bicycle was stolen Tuesday in front of a local market and Petaluma police released a surveillance photo of the man suspected of stealing it. According to the Petaluma Police Department, an officer responded at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday to Petaluma Market, 210 Western Ave., to investigate a report that a white mountain bike was stolen.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect approach the front of the market and steal the bicycle, a white-and-black Specialized Stumjumper Evo Expert valued at $5,000, police said.

The grand theft suspect, described as a white man in his mid-20s with brownish/blond hair and beard, rode the bicycle away from the area in an eastbound direction, according to police.
