Teen Found Unconscious At Beach On 'Senior Cut Day'
The 17-year-old was airlifted from Little Beach in Marin County to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, officials said.

MUIR BEACH, CA – California Highway Patrol officers responded by helicopter Tuesday to Little Beach in Marin County to assist the Southern Marin and Muir Beach fire departments following a report of an unconscious 17-year-old boy, who was possibly cutting school with some members of his senior class, according to officials.
The H-32 CHP flight officer and paramedics landed in the remote beach area where the teen was – near the water with the tide coming in, the CHP's Golden Gate Division Air Operations said.
"Apparently this was a group of high school students participating in the non-sanctioned 'senior cut day,'" the agency said.

"This may be a good reminder to all parents to have a talk with their students about the consequences of cutting school and partaking in activities that may lead them to trouble and a bad outcome," the CHP added.
The incident is under investigation by the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
