San Marin's Posylkin Rolls in First 2 Matches at Sectionals
Top-seeded Mustang to play unseeded East Bay girl in Wednesday's semifinals with chance at title match later in day

Laura Posylkin, a San Marin High senior, rolled past two opponents Tuesday to earn a semifinal berth in the North Coast Section Division I girls tennis singles championship tournament and has a shot at winning her second consecutive NCS crown Wednesday.
The defending champ from Novato cruised past unseeded Mariah Steiger of Windsor, 6-0, 6-0, and unseeded April Ngo of Albany, 6-0, 6-1 in the tournament at Santa Rosa High. At 10 a.m. Wednesday she plays Rickimae Torres of Dougherty Valley, who knocked off No. 4 seed Miriam Lane of Middletown in a three-set match Tuesday.
If Posylkin advances to the final at Diamond Hills Tennis Club in Oakley, she will meet either No. 3 seed Hadley Berg of Redwood or No. 2 seed Kristina Hovsepyan of Monte Vista. The time of the match is between noon and 12:30 p.m. depending on the length of the semifinals.
