http://www.marinij.com/crimebeat/ci_25433569/san-rafael-and-petaluma-men... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Novato investigators arrested two additional suspects in an alleged gang attack this month, bringing the total to seven adult suspects and a juvenile. Oscar Benitez, 20, of San Rafael and Jackson Calderon-Escobar, 19, of Petaluma were booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of gang-related offenses. Benitez was charged and appeared in court Thursday, while Calderon-Escobar posted bail pending further review by the district attorney's office. The alleged crimes occurred at about 7 p.m. March 16 at the Nave Shopping Center at 1565 S. Novato Blvd. Police said a Novato man was attacked by a group of people, one of whom tried to strike him with a car, and required medical treatment for his injuries. Novato police quickly arrested three suspects — Tatiana Jenkins, 24, Christopher Cooke, 19, and a 16-year-old boy — on suspicion of gang-related crimes while the investigation progressed. Cooke and the juvenile live in Novato; Jenkins is a former Marin resident currently listed as an Antioch resident. Several days later, police arrested three more suspects: Christian Velasquez, 21, of Novato; Carlos Rodas, 20, of Novato; and Diego Dela-Cerda Guerrero, 21, of Larkspur. All three were arrested on suspicion of gang participation and other crimes.
