See Smoke In Novato? Marin County Firefighters Working On Controlled Burn On Shroyer Mountain
BREAKING: Marin County Fire's Tamalpais Fire Crew plans to burn piles of debris off Lucas Valley Road on Tuesday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – If you see or smell smoke in northern San Rafael or southern Novato on Tuesday, chances are it's nothing to be concerned about, according to the Marin County Fire Department.
With a break in the stormy weather, Marin County Fire’s Tamalpais Fire Crew plans to burn piles of debris on Shroyer Mountain, in the 5800 block of Lucas Valley Road.
Officials said residents can expect to see and possibly smell smoke starting at 9 a.m. and continuing through the afternoon.

"We send out these notifications so you are not alarmed by the smoke, to reduce calls to emergency dispatchers and to remind you to create defensible space around your homes," officials said.
