Skydive Golden Gate Inc. Airport Business Operating Permit on the agenda this week.

NOVATO, CA — The Marin County Board of Supervisors is set to discuss the possibility of providing a local business permit to a skydiving company to operate out of Gnoss Field.
At the board meeting this week, supervisors will hear from the Department of Public Works about the request.
"The business is interested in offering tandem skydiving operations at Gnoss Field in Novato, which is owned by the County of Marin and operated by the County's Department of Public Works," the board agency states.

PreviewThe Board will hear a request from the Department of Public Works to consider approving the Skydive Golden Gate Inc. Airport Business Operating Permit, and authorize Public Works Director to consent to a future sublease with Skydive Golden Gate. The business is interested in offering tandem skydiving operations at Gnoss Field in Novato, which is owned by the County of Marin and operated by the County's Department of Public Works. Lacking specific skydiving business operating standards in the aviation section of the Marin County Code, the Board approved an ordinance in May 2016. The County has reached agreement on business operating terms. It is estimated that the annual airport revenue from this business would be less than $5,000 per year.
