Spanish Community Police Academy Now Available In Novato
The Novato Police Department is offering its inaugural Spanish Community Academy this fall.

NOVATO, CA – The Novato Police Department's Community Police Academy will be available in Spanish for the first time this fall. The program, previously known as Citizen's Police Academy, gives community members an inside look at how the department operates, as well as introduces participants to a variety of contemporary issues and law enforcement topics affecting the community and police.
"The police department and the city of Novato understand the importance of reaching out and having open communication with all segments of our community," the department said in an announcement.
During the inaugural session, instruction and presentations will be given in Spanish by Spanish-speaking officers and civilian employees, according to the department.
