Summer Rock Band Camps for 9-16 year olds at Marin Music Center

Have a kid that wants to play like a rock star? Marin Music Center in Novato is offering week-long summer rock band camps under the supervision of professional musicians. Students are grouped by age and experience. Bands rehearse from 10 AM to 2 PM Mon-Fri with a ½ hour lunch break. The bands learn to play several songs of their choice coached by Stuart Lehman-Brown, a Berkelee School of Music graduate, and Mick Berry, the author of “The Drummers Bible". On Friday of each week of camp, the rock band students record the songs and host a performance for parents and friends in the studio classroom. Band members take home a CD of the songs they have learned. Amplifiers, microphones, and drums are provided. Camp sessions are being held for ages 9-12 on July 8-12; July 22-26; & Aug 5-9. Camp sessions are being held for ages 13-16 on June 24-28; July 15-19;& July 29-Aug 2. Cost per child for one week of Summer Rock Band Camp is $250.
