Suspect Arrested in Fatal Novato Hit and Run

Victim was a 64-year-old local man.

NOVATO, CA -- An arrest has been made in a late October hit-and-run case that left a 64-year-old man dead.

At 1:23 a.m. on Oct. 30, a Novato Police Dept. patrol officer located a vehicle with extensive damage consistent with a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The NPD Traffic Section later interviewed the registered owner of the vehicle and established probable cause to believe she was involved in the collision.

Lola Loiseau, a 40 year old Novato resident, was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for vehicular manslaughter and felony hit and run.

It's believed that she's the person who, around 1 a.m. on Oct. 25, ran down a man in the roadway in the area of Rowland Blvd and Redwood Blvd.

Arriving officers at the scene located a male subject in the roadway who had significant trauma and was determined to be deceased. The victim was identified as 64-year-old Novato resident John Krabbe. The involved vehicle had fled the area prior to the arrival of officers.

The subsequent investigation by the Novato Police Traffic Section eventually led to Loiseau.
