Thank you Novato!

Thank you, voters of Novato, for giving me the opportunity to continue serving our community.

This year, I talked with neighbors in every corner of Novato — phoning and walking door-to-door, attending community events, forums, and debates. I am impressed by how much people care about our city, and how much they are willing to contribute to our community.

To the voters of Novato: I heard you loud and clear that we want to maintain the small town charm and spirit of Novato by ensuring future development is compatible with our neighborhoods and small town character!  I heard your priorities -- to preserve our hillsides, ridgelines and open space, provide shopping choices that enhance our small town charm, fix our roads and improve transportation options, keep our economy and city fiscally strong, our community safe, and improve the quality of life that we are so fortunate to enjoy. Thanks to your support, that’s exactly what I intend to do.

I am grateful to have earned the support of thousands of Novato voters, the North Bay Labor Council, Marin Association of Realtors, Marin Women’s Political Action Committee and local unions because of my conviction to stand up for the people who live in our town.  And, thanks to the Pacific Sun and the Marin Independent Journal for their endorsements.

My appreciation for my wonderful volunteers is beyond words!!  This huge victory by a large margin is theirs – they worked hard and tirelessly.  I know that achievements come through team efforts.
