Thousands Without Power In Novato

NOVATO, CA – Thousands of customers are without power Monday evening in Novato.

Pacific Gas and Electric reported 4,111 customers have no power in the north-west Novato and San Marin area. Two power outages started at 4:29 and 4:39 p.m.

"There are callers reporting that traffic lights in the area of Grant Avenue are not functioning," police said. "Please remember to treat these intersections as a four-way stop and proceed with caution."

Power is expected to be restored by 7:45 p.m, according to PG&E.

PG&E is investigating the cause. No other information was immediately available.
