Tickets Available for Novato's Annual Birthday Gala
The 'Paint the Town Red' event is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20.

NOVATO, CA -- What do Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore, Sean Penn, Colin Firth and Antonio Banderas have in common with the City of Novato? All were all born in 1960.
And while the above celebrities aren't likely to be in attendance, Novato is set to 57 in style at its annual Paint the Town Red community birthday party, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20, at the Margaret Todd Senior Center’s main ballroom. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are on sale now.
The annual event is a tribute to the past, present and future of Novato, its residents, community leaders, businesses and organizations. More than 200 people get together for great food, drink, music, dancing and the announcement of several annual honors.

“Every year, we blow out the candles to honor our city and do our best to celebrate city pride and boost community spirit,” event chair Sue Counselman said.
This year's Paint the Town Red features “A Taste of Novato," a medley of hors d’ oeuvres, wines and craft beers from local businesses. Also, with DJ music as a backdrop, special awards will be distributed, then dancing will begin.
