July 3, 2020

Dear NUSD parents, students, faculty and staff,

Find out what's happening in Novatofor free with the latest updates from Patch.

I want to thank all the families who have chosen either in-person or remote learning for their children. We have nearly 2,000 students already in our database and we’re off to a great start.

For those evaluating their choices, we have extended the deadline for the 2020-2021 Return to School Selection Form to Friday, July 17, 2020, at 5 pm. We have created a Frequently Asked Questions from community feedback and the Thoughtexchange on Return to School to help answer a few general questions about health and safety, distance learning, and our 2021 seniors. It can be found here.

We are also hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Facebook Live on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, to answer common questions. The time of the event and more details will be sent out by Friday, July 10, 2020.

I encourage you to submit your general thoughts and questions via Thoughtexchange for the Virtual Town Hall. Here is a link to access that exchange: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/877137591

If you have questions about the details concerning your family’s specific needs, please contact Jennifer Casper at 415 493-4250.

On July 1, 2020, we sent a communication through SchoolMint about selecting in-person or remote learning for the 2020-2021 school year for your child. If you completed and submitted the short form, thank you.

If you did not receive this, please sign into your SchooMint account and select your child. There you will find the 2020-2021 Return to School Selection Form. Also check your spam folder as it may have gone there. If you need assistance accessing the form in SchoolMint, please email help@nusd.org.

To clarify, the 2020-2021 Return to School Selection Form is not about re-enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. If you have a current or incoming student, you do not need to complete any enrollment or re-enrollment forms.

Please take care of yourselves and of each other, as we strive to take care of you all.

Thank you and have a great 4th of July!

Amie Carter

Assistant Superintendent, Education Services
