Update: Owners Found For 2 Horses Loose In Novato

The horses had been corralled by two officers with equestrian experience and housed by a neighbor while police worked to track the owners.

NOVATO, CA — The owners of the two Arabian-Cross horses found roaming a neighborhood earlier this week in Novato have been located, police said.

The horses were spotted Wednesday near Mill Road and Santa Maria Drive, where Corporal Houser and Dispatcher Adam — both experienced with horses — corralled and secured the pair while a nearby neighbor provided temporary shelter.

The owners have since been identified and the horses are heading home.
