Voting Starts for November Election

San Rafael, CA -- Voting for the Nov. 5 Uniform District Election is under way at the Marin County Elections Office.

Voters may apply for a vote-by-mail ballot or vote in person at the Elections Office in the Marin County Civic Center Administration Building, 3501 Civic Center, Suite 121, San Rafael. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; on Election Day they will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

The Elections Office mailed ballots to more than 100,000 vote-by-mail voters on Monday, Oct. 7. Voters who do not receive a ballot in the mail but want to vote by mail in the November election may apply for a ballot in one of the following ways:

*  In person at the Elections Office during regular office hours

* In writing until Oct. 29 by using the application on the back cover of the Voter Information Pamphlet

* Mailing or faxing a request to Registrar of Voters, Marin County Civic Center, Suite 121, P.O. Box E, San Rafael, CA 94913. Fax 415-473-6447.

A new smartphone-friendly website has been developed to help voters make their choices about political candidates and ballot measures. M.marinvotes.org/voterguide/ was developed by the Marin County Information Services and Technology (IST) Department team and made its debut Oct. 4.
