1,000 Acre Sierra Fire On Camp Pendleton 20% Contained - UPDATE
As of 5:18 am Thursday morning the Camp Pendleton Fire Department reported the fire remains near 1,000 acres. All evacuation orders lifted.
OCEANSIDE, CA — The Camp Pendleton Fire Department continued work overnight to contain a wildfire that has grown to approximately 1,000 acres and initially prompted mandatory evacuation orders on Wednesday.
"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time," a base official said.
An update released at 5:18 am reports that the fire has reached 20% containment. Visible flames are in burnt areas and pose no threat. No road closures.

All evacuation orders have been lifted. The CPFD Fire School is cancelled for June 10 and June 11.
