OCEANSIDE, CA — Here is a collection of this week's police, fire and courtroom stories from across San Diego County.

Brush Fire Spreads Over Grounds Of Camp Pendleton

Within several hours, the burn area had grown to an estimated 402 acres, Watch Duty reported.

Smoke may be visible in surrounding communities.

Adults at the scene extinguished the flames and poured water on the injured children before firefighters arrived.

Millete, 44, is charged with murdering his wife of 20 years, May "Maya" Millete, who has not been seen or heard from since Jan. 7, 2021.

The wrong-way driver was arrested following the collision.

The suspect is expected to be booked into the San Diego Central Jail on criminal threat-related charges, sheriff's officials said.

Police said the attacker stabbed the man twice in the chest and twice in the arm.

The testimony came in the trial of Larry Millete, who is accused of murdering his wife of 20 years, who disappeared on Jan. 7, 2021.

Detectives with the Metro Arson Strike Team determined the fire had been intentionally set.

The suspect was taken into custody thanks to the assistance of a police dog.
