• San Diego Seals Move Home Games To Frontwave Arena (patch.com) — Oceanside sports fans are getting a new hometown team presence as the San Diego Seals shift all National Lacrosse League home games to Frontwave Arena starting with the 2026-27 season. The move brings regular professional box lacrosse action, new ticket opportunities, and added energy to the growing North County sports hub near major freeways.
   

• Grass League Summer Grind brings televised golf back to Oceanside (northcoastcurrent.com) — Televised golf is returning to Oceanside as Goat Hill Park hosts the Grass League's Summer Grind tournament Sept. 4–6, featuring pros, amateurs and golf creators. Oceanside residents who once rallied to save the course can now watch a nationally broadcast event with big prize money and community-focused programming.
   

• Sapporo USA to wind down Stone Brewing operations in Escondido (nbcsandiego.com) — Stone Brewing's Oceanside taproom is expected to remain open even as Sapporo USA winds down its Stone-branded brewery and bistro operations in Escondido, laying off about 50 workers this fall. The brand's new owners will keep other locations, while some brewing shifts to Paso Robles.
