Back to School Stay in School-North San Diego County NAACP Event

OCEANSIDE, CA — The North San Diego County NAACP is holding their Annual Back to School Stay in School event on Saturday, August 7, 11:00-1:00.

This annual event is a collaboration with MiraCosta College, Vista Community Clinic, NCAAWA, Lived Experiences, and various key community partners to provide community resources that support the families of North County.

Families who attend will receive a backpack (while supplies last) and a free hotdog lunch, access community resources and health/vaccination resources, access free food and diaper distribution and get information about college and career opportunities.

For decades, the NAACP has placed a high priority on eliminating the inequalities that continue to plague our educational system. With that in mind, for the last fifteen years we have provided a total of over 5,000 backpacks, filled with school supplies, to students K-12, at a fun filled rally.

This year’s Back to School Stay in School Rally will be held on August 7, 2021, at MiraCosta College, which is located at 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA, 92056. The rally is from 11:00am to 1:00 p.m. and is free to the community.
