Bellwether is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet of The Week

She's had a tough year.

(RCHS - Mark Viguri)

Bellwether is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 3-1/2-year-old, 70-pound, female, Shepherd mix.

Bellwether was a stray in Riverside County before being transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.

Her thick fur coat was infested with more than 600 foxtails. She underwent several surgeries to remove the foxtails embedded in her skin. Now she’s healthy and ready to begin her new life.
