Camp Pendleton Families Receive Easter Baskets Packed with Goodies for Children

Fisher House and San Clemente Military Family Outreach at Camp Pendleton among nine nonprofits statewide to receive Easter baskets from UHC

UnitedHealthcare employees and local volunteers delivered more than 500 Easter baskets today to the Fisher House and San Clemente Military Family Outreach program to support military children and families at Camp Pendleton.

Fisher House allows loved ones to be close to hospitalized service members at Camp Pendleton and augments the lodging needs of the Fisher Houses located at the nearby Naval Medical Center San Diego where many critically wounded service members receive treatment and rehabilitate.

The San Clemente Military Family Outreach (SCMFO) provides support and assistance to military members and their dependents, with special attention given to the young families stationed at the northwest area of Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. The organization offers programs to improve morale and provide emergency assistance with financial needs such as groceries, infant diapers, formula, gas and car repairs, school supplies, and other unexpected needs. More than 1,500 Easter baskets are being delivered by UnitedHealthcare employees and local volunteers this week to children at nine nonprofit organizations across California.
