COMMUNITY MANAGERS PURSUE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, FOCUS ON MONEY MANAGEMENT

National Professional Management Development Program Offers San Diego Seminar

San Diego, CA – July 10, 2015 – Community Associations Institute San Diego (CAI-SD) will welcome community association managers to a two-day financial management course on Thursday, July 16th and Friday, July 17th. This comprehensive course, titled M-206: Financial Management, will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on both days. In addition to learning the principles of community association finance, attendees will study account reconciliation, learn to use budgets and reports as management tools, and delve into some basic investment principles, among others.

M-206 is part of CAI’s Professional Management Development Program (PMDP), a program offering educational courses to community managers seeking to further their industry knowledge and job opportunities. The comprehensive course is held in cities across the nation and is required for the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, and is approved for continuing education credit in many states. This program provides 14 hours of continuing education for the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) recertification.

Tuition for the two-day course is $445 for CAI members and $545 for nonmembers. Registrants may attend the seminar or participate in an online format of the course. For more information, or to register online, visit www.cai-sd.org.
