Discovery Isle Students Donate Essential Items to Those in Need
Students held donation drives to benefit two local nonprofit organizations
Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Oceanside recently hosted a food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank. Throughout the month of November, students collected more than 400 nonperishable food items to help families in need during the holidays. Additionally, students collected hundreds of other items, including new and lightly used clothes, shoes, toys, diapers and more to benefit Birthline of San Diego, a local charity that provides support to families in need with young children. Through these initiatives, students learned the value of giving back to their community.
