Fatal Crash Closes Interstate 15 South Near Rainbow Valley
CHP reports hard closures in place on SB 15 at Temecula Parkway after a deadly crash near Mission road. Expect delays up to 2 hours.
OCEANSIDE, CA — California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash at 3:24 a.m Saturday morning on southbound Interstate 15 near Mission Road in Fallbrook.
A SIGALERT was issued at 7:28 AM of full closure due to an accident investigation.
Hard closures of all southbound 15 lanes in place at Temecula Parkway and Temecula Parkway onramp to southbound 15. Traffic is reported to be backed up to I-215. Expect delays over 2 hours. Southbound traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Rainbow Valley Blvd. Semi's stuck in the backup were being diverted to northbound 15 to the southbound scales facility.

One person died and a man was critically injured after a rollover crash. The collision backed up traffic from Fallbrook to Temecula.
