Hankster is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 1 year old, 41 pound, male, German Shepherd / Hound mix.
Hankster was a stray when he was picked up and taken to an animal shelter. He was very shy and he would run to the back of his kennel when people came near. He refused to come out, even for treats, and he didn’t want to go for walks.
He was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program. As he had more contact with the care providers and volunteers, he became a friendly, wiggly pup who loves attention and leans on whoever is touching him.
