OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside Council meeting on Wednesday, August 18 is a joint meeting of the Oceanside City Council, Oceanside Small Craft Harbor District Board of Directors, Oceanside Community Development Commission, and the Oceanside Public Financing Authority.
The meeting agenda includes 20 items ranging from a Presentation of Employee Service Awards to a Resolution to approve the elimination of fines for overdue library materials.

Approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Vista Group, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for the provision of motel rooms for homeless residents needing temporary shelter; approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with McAlister Institute in an amount not to exceed $57,145 for motel and housing supportive services; and authorization for the City Manager, or designee, to execute the amendments

Item 10. Approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with McAlister Institute, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $770,424 for the Sobering Services Center; and authorization for the City Manager, or designee, to execute the amendment
Item 11. Approval of a Mutual Aid Agreement between the City of Oceanside and the San Diego County Water Authority and its member agencies to provide assistance from one agency to another when an emergency arises
Item 13. Adoption of a resolution accepting the improvements of the Inland Rail Trail Project along Melrose Drive south of Oceanside Boulevard to the North County Transit District’s Sprinter Railway right-of-way, per the San Diego Association of Governments’ Memorandum of Understanding dated March 25, 2015
Item 15. Approval and adoption of the revised City of Oceanside Salary Schedule and Executive Salary Schedule retroactively effective July 11, 2021
Item 16. Adoption of a resolution granting three appeals of Planning Commission Resolution No. 2021-P20 and denying a development plan, conditional use permit, and variance on a 27.95-acre site on Ocean Ranch Boulevard for a proposed Amazon Distribution Facility (APN 160-571-27 & 28)
Item 17. Authorization to award a contract to Spectrum Services Group of Sacramento in the amount of $2,340,815 for the construction of the Jones Road Tenant Improvements Project
Item 18. City Council/CDC: Introduction of an ordinance amending Article 36 of the Oceanside Zoning Ordinance (ZA21-00001) and Chapter 33 of the Oceanside City Code to remove the 500-foot separation requirement from a residential district if an intervening freeway (I-5) or State highway (SR-76, SR-78) is located between the proposed tattoo establishment and that residential district. The text modification also includes removing Section 3601.1 and 3601.2 from Article 36 and adding Appendix A. The text modification would remove all of Chapter 33 Tattoo Establishment of the City Code – Tattoo Establishment Regulations – Applicant: City of Oceanside
The Closed Door session starts at 3:30pm, followed by regular business at 5:00pm. If applicable public hearings commence at 6:00pm.
