VISTA, CA – A man in a superhero T-shirt barged into a North County home occupied by a 9-year-old boy Wednesday and ransacked the residence before escaping into the neighborhood.
The child was alone in the house in the 2600 block of Seacrest Court in Vista when the stranger entered through a rear sliding-glass door and began throwing household items around about 9:30 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The child went into the garage to hide, after which the intruder exited the home and walked away to the east. The boy then ran to a neighbor's house and asked for help.
