Lemon Pie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 5-month-old, 5-1/2-pound, male, Domestic Short Hair kitten with a Red and White Tabby coat.
People who meet him in the cattery notice that there’s something different about Lemon Pie, but they’re not quite sure what it is. Then he jumps up to do “zoomies” or chase a cat toy and they see that he only has 3 legs.
His left, hind leg had been injured, then injured again. When he was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program, it was too late to save the leg. It was removed and now he’s doing great.
