Marines at the Market: Dog Collars For Devil Dogs
Mac's Pack creates heavy duty dog collars and leashes with custom designs and styles.
On Thursday evening, the sun began to cast low-light shadows on booths set up at the Oceanside Sunset Market. Camp Pendleton Marine LCpl. Curt Boshnack, a New York native, was looking through an assortment of designer collars by Mac's Pack for his dog.
Mac's Pack owner Jon MacGregor found a need for pet lovers to have cool collars and leashes for their animals. He also makes collars from Marine cami uniforms and will trade collars and leashes for them.
"When you go into Petco and you look at their selection, they are all boring," said MacGregor. "Then you go online or purchase from a boutique and the collars will run you over $50."

That is where Mac's Pack comes in with its American custom handcrafted dog collars and leashes.
"I use a stronger material like Sunbrella to make my products last," MacGregor said. "I have never had one fail yet."
