Marines at the Market: Signs to Remember

Oceanside merchant Memories and Laughs at the Sunset Market sells reproduction signs, posters and magazine covers from days past.

"I have over 5,000 of these reproductions, and I change the selection every week cause I can only display 500 at a time," owner Gary Burns said.

Burns originally started with a Tiki Store, where he sold these reproductions on the side. When he realized that the signs were more profitable, he switched over to the new business.

"I've been here now for three years now," Burns said.

"Not too many stores here are targeted for men," Burns said, "I made this store, their store."

Marines who come to take a peek will find a large selection of posters from the last century.
