Military Mamas' Baby Shower: Courtesy Of National Charity League

"Thank you for your service, and we hope your time stationed in San Diego has positive, happy memories."

CAMP PENDLETON CA – New mothers and moms-to-be of military families stationed at Camp Pendleton recently were treated to a massive baby shower, courtesy of National Charity League chapters in Temecula Valley, San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Approximately 155 mamas with family members and other little ones enjoyed breakfast, game stations, a bounce house, crafting and gift baskets from the 270 NCL volunteers of mother (Patroness)-and-daughter (Ticktocker) teams.

The Ticktockers enjoyed being hostesses, sitting with the families and holding the babies.

“This is our opportunity as an organization to say ‘thank you’ for your service, and we hope
your time stationed in San Diego has positive, happy memories,” said Lora Sexton, national
district philanthropy specialist. “This event is one of our favorite events to participate in. The
girls love playing with all of the children that come to the shower. Believe it or not, a lot of our
girls have never attended a baby shower, so this is very special.”

The National Charity League, established in 1958 in Los Angeles, is a service organization of women and their daughters in grades 7-12. Currently the membership organization has 70,000 members in 259 chapters in 27 states. See more on the nonprofit here.
