Ocean Kamp Project Makes Waves At Oceanside Chamber Forum

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce hosted a recent Emerging Issues forum that featured an update about the proposed Ocean Kamp development.

The location for the development is the old drive-in site on Highway 76 and Foussat. Since the property was purchased in July 2018 the project has primarily remained in the planning stage, with the exception of grading at the site that has been going on for the last 2 years.

In August 2021, the Ocean Kamp developers submitted a new Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report to the City of Oceanside. The 92-acre project plans include a 300-key resort hotel, hotel conference buildings, surf lagoon and beach club. Plus, commercial buildings with 126,400 square feet of office, retail, and restaurants, and up to a maximum of 700 multi-family residential dwelling units.

At the chamber forum, Michael Grehl, Vice President - Real Estate for N4FL Worldwide gave a presentation that covered the status of the project, development plans, and how it will support Oceanside's economy. He encouraged the business community to contact the city and encourage approval of the project.
