The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is devising new approaches to assist Camp Pendleton troops and their families.

Golf tournaments and cook-offs offer plenty of fun and food while raising support for Camp Pendleton's troops. Now the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee is working to develop even more ways to help military personnel and their families.

The committee, chaired by Chip Dykes, vice president of contracting firm General Services Inc., met April 14 to discuss how to ramp up its efforts.

The committee already has several upcoming activities which are open to military personnel and their families as well as the Oceanside community.
