OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside City Council meeting agenda for Wednesday, April 7 includes 30 items ranging from proclamations and award presentations to resolutions on housing and public camping.
The Closed Door session starts at 3:30pm, followed by regular business at 5:00pm. If applicable public hearings commence at 6:00pm.

PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS
Presentation – Honoring Oceanside Resident Vallie Gilley as 36th Senate District Woman of the
Year, presented by California Senator Patricia “Pat” Bates
Presentation – Recognition of Lifeguard Sergeants Tyler Berry and Greg Trebbe of the Oceanside
Fire Department for heroic efforts and commitment to public safety, with Salvatore “Ted” Schiafone, Harbor Division Manager
Proclamation – Fair Housing Month 2021 – presented to Inez Williams, Chair of the Oceanside
Housing Commission, Angie Hanifin, Housing Administrator, and Cecilia Barandiaran, Management Analyst
Proclamation – Earth Month 2021, “Restoring Our Earth” – presented to members of the Green
Oceanside Team: Adrina Hernandez, Bronti Cash, and Nicki Powell, Environmental Specialists.

Calendar Consent, General and Public Hearing items include:
- The El Corazon Aquatics Center Project construction and surveying agreements.
- Multiple resolutions to approve single-family home and condominium projects throughout Oceanside.
- Accepting $42,966 in grant funds from the U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant of 2020 awarded to the City for crime suppression and enforcement details.
- Waiver of Locational Requirements to allow a medical cannabis manufacturing and
distribution facility within an existing building located at 2949 San Luis Rey Road.
- Approval of motel and service agreements for the implementation of an emergency
motel voucher program.
- Introduction of an ordinance and adopt urgency ordinance amending Chapter 20 of the Oceanside City Code to regulate the act of camping, sleeping, sitting, lying and storing personal property in certain public places.
- Resolution approving the 2021-22 Annual Public Housing Agency Plan.
- Authorize staff to partner with the Melba Bishop Pickleball Boosters Association for the donation of the construction of additional pickleball courts at Melba Bishop Park.

Due to applicable Public Health Orders, the City Council chambers will not be open to the public and City Council members have the option of participating by phone.
