Oceanside Civic Center Library Branch to Close for Renovations
Starting Oct. 31, the Library's Civic Center branch in Oceanside will shut down for at least one month.

OCEANSIDE, CA - The Oceanside Public Library's Civic Center branch will shut down for a month or two, beginning Oct. 31, for renovations, the city announced Tuesday.
The library will get fresh carpeting and new shelving. The original shelves at the 26-year-old building are wearing out.
While the refurbishing is underway, the Mission Branch -- at 3861 Mission Ave. -- will remain open and some of the Civic Center's most popular books will be transferred there.

Ebooks and other online services will remain available, and there will be limited access to the Civic Center Library's community rooms and courtyard.
City officials said they hope to partially reopen the library near the end of November, with complete reopening planned for January.
