Oceanside Council Agenda $32M American Rescue Funds Spending Plan
Wednesday's Oceanside City Council meeting has Reducing Marine Debris, Amazon Facility, Emergency Shelter Zoning among the 26 items.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside City Council meeting on Wednesday will discuss a variety of items ranging from closed session labor negotiations to a resolution approving a planned Amazon warehouse facility.
Here are highlights from the 26 items on the August 4th meeting agenda:
- Amendment to an agreement for public outreach in regards to the Beach Sand Replenishment and Retention Device Project
- Amendment to an agreement with Tetra Tech for engineering support during construction of the Pure Water Oceanside Project
- Resolution approving the final map for the One 11 Tremont Project, a mixed-use condominium development with commercial space
- Resolution approving the construction of a condominium complex at 806 N. Cleveland Street
- Adoption of a resolution supporting the reduction of marine debris and litter caused by single-use polystyrene and plastic products
- Approval of the City’s spending plan for the $32,346,514 allocation of the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds
- Resolution upholding Planning Commission Resolution approving a 142,746 sq ft Amazon warehouse distribution facility with fleet vehicle parking for a package delivery service located on Ocean Ranch Blvd.
- Adoption of an ordinance amending the Oceanside Zoning Ordinance to allow emergency shelters by-right on certain City-owned properties located in the Commercial, Industrial, and Public/Semi-public zones and to allow City of Oceanside government offices as a permitted use in the Public/Semi-public zone
The Closed Door session starts at 3:30pm, followed by regular business at 5:00pm. If applicable public hearings commence at 6:00pm.

The Oceanside Council meeting on Wednesday, August 4 is a joint meeting of the Oceanside City Council, Oceanside Small Craft Harbor District Board of Directors, Oceanside Community Development Commission, and the Oceanside Public Financing Authority.
