Oceanside Library's Early Learning Hub Opening Celebration RECAP

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside Public Library's New Early Learning and Community Information Hub had the official grand opening last week with plenty of local officials, residents and kids on hand to celebrate.

Mayor Esther Sanchez, Councilman Peter Weiss and Police Chief Fred Armijo joined other city and library staff and community partners to commemorate the opening of the new hub.

The purpose of the Hub is to offer resources geared towards parents and caregivers with young children, to foster a lifetime love of reading, and ensure that they are ready for success. With the help of local community partnerships, the Hub will strive to ensure families have the best information available to them.

Located within the Downtown Civic Center Library the Hub features the "Fishies" mural created by artist Amanda Oswald; early learning programs; parenting workshops; books for young children and their parents and caregivers; and information on local community services.
