Officers will be checking for drunk and/or drugged drivers and driver's licenses.
OCEANSIDE, CA: A checkpoint will be conducted Friday in Oceanside, police announced.
Officers with the Oceanside Police Department Traffic Unit will hold the DUI/driver's license checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, and 1 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location within the city limits, Oceanside police Sgt. Ignacio Lopez stated in news release.
"Over the course of the past three years, DUI collisions have claimed four lives and resulted in 141 injury crashes harming 209 of our friends and neighbors," Lopez said.
