OCEANSIDE, CA — The City of Oceanside has started the process of redistricting the City Council's four districts with a series of Public Hearings and Community Outreach Meetings from January through March.

The second meeting is this Wednesday at 6pm in the Oceanside Civic Center Library Community Rooms.. The city is encouraging residents to participate and provide feedback.

Redistricting is the process of adjusting district lines to reflect local populations changes, so that each district continues to contain nearly the same number of people as the other districts. The four Oceanside district lines will be redrawn to reflect local population changes shown in the 2020 Census. It is required to occur when census data is released every 10 years.
