Oceanside Woman Sentenced For Hit-and-Run That Killed Bicyclist
Bailey Tennery was sentenced Monday to two years in state prison for Oceanside hit and run that killed a bicyclist on July 15.
OCEANSIDE, CA — Bailey Tennery, 24, of Oceanside pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter count and a felony count of hit-and-run causing death after fatally striking Jackson Williams, 27, of Carlsbad on July 15, 2021.
Tips from the community helped police identify the driver and led to Tennery’s arrest more than a week later, on July 23 at her Oceanside home. Police also seized her black 2014 Nissan Versa Note, which is the vehicle Tennery was accused of driving when the accident occurred.
On Monday, Tennery was sentenced to two years in state prison by Vista Superior Court Judge James Simmons Jr.
