Oceanside's El Corazon Aquatics Center Grand Opening Tomorrow
The ceremony includes remarks from Congressman Mike Levin, Assemblymember Boerner Horvath, Mayor Sanchez, Councilman Weiss and swim demos.
OCEANSIDE, CA — The Grand Opening Ceremony of the City of Oceanside's new El Corazon Aquatics and Events Center will feature remarks by city officials, aquatic demonstrations and tours of the new facility.
The opening ceremony begins at 9am with Deanna Lorson, Oceanside City Manager as the Master of Ceremonies followed by official remarks from Congressman Mike Levin and Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath. Oceanside Councilman Peter Weiss will give a brief history of El Corazon followed by Mayor Esther Sanchez on celebrating the future.
After the official ribbon-cutting, there will be swimming demonstrations including a Water Polo Scrimmage between rivals Oceanside High and El Camino High, a diving demo from Diving San Diego, a swim meet demo from Oceanside Swim Club and wrapping up with a swim lesson demo from the aquatics staff.
